Since its inception, Mekaela Likunda School has been exceptional in academic performance in coast region. In 2018, Likunda School produced the best pupil in coast region.
This consistent excellent performance is engendered by strong culture of excellence and administrative structures, where every class is managed as a mini school by a qualified teacher whose title is a class CEO (Class executive officer).
We have been able to welcome children from less fortunate and needy families through our organized sponsorship program. Recently, two girls from needy families in Turkana left a legacy through a great performance they posted. They later proceeded to our high school and scored highly and are now pursuing degree courses in the university.
The school has modern boarding facilities for both boys and girls offering ultimate comfort to the children. Our Spacious classrooms, playground, clean dormitories, and taps that never dry offer comfort and peace of mind to our pupils as well as an ambient learning environment.
The school has invested in friendly staff that not only teach, but mentor the learner. The staff also undertakes various organized trainings to equip them with relevant skills that enable them to understand the needs of each learner and help them develop strong character and personality.
